COA Founder Linda Pinizzotto Speaks Out

While the Association tried to make a difference in the local community and supported Rosario's Bill to change the Condo Act; the announcement of the HST sparked another negative effect on Condo Owners across the Province.

Linda's condo knowledge, determination and long term experience as the President of 2 Condo Boards and Realtor; she recognized that it was the right time to form a Condo Owners Association Province wide and invite the remaining 4 board members from Trinity Spadina Condo Owners Association on COA Toronto.

Linda's vision was to create a structure for COA Ontario to include Chapters and Districts to work with all 3 levels of Government within each Municipality/Region and within all of their independent wards and ridings.    Creating this structure was her largest challenge because of the complexity and recognition of the vast amount of Condominium Owners and the various levels of Government.

Linda's next recommendation was to launch Toronto as the 1st Chapter of COA Ontario (COA Toronto) and to recognize and respect the participation of those Trinity Spadina Condo owners who came to the neighbourhood meeting by dedicating Trinity Spadina as the Head Office of COA Ontario and as the First District of the Toronto Chapter.  In total COA Toronto includes 12 districts.

All Condo Owners across Ontario now have a political Provincial voice to represent them within all three levels of Government and who can address the shortfalls of the Condo Act.  COA stands alone within the Province of Ontario as an Association for Condo Owners with representation in each City and County.   It has taken countless hours to form a mission statement, mandates and objectives, by-laws, membership drive, directories and database, financial reports and accounts.  As the spokesperson of COA, Linda has engaged in press conferences, correspondence with City Officials, news articles, rallies and meetings of key issues.  It takes alot of hard work, dedication and commitment.  COA is inviting all Condo Corporations to become a member of COA on behalf of their Condo Owners.  Condo Owners are asked to speak with their Board of Directors and Property Managers to join.
